Highlight – City of Eastlake, Ohio

The formation of Eastlake started over 300 years ago but did not get “Eastlake” in their name until 1948 when Eastlake was certified as a Village. The first election of Village official was held on January 11, 1949. In 1950 the population was at 4,700 residents.

In 1951 Eastlake was declared a City by the U.S. Census with a population of 7,486. By 1970, Eastlake’s population grew to 20,000.

City Attractions

Boulevard of Flags started as a memorial to local veterans. After September 11, 2001, a section was dedicated to those who fell that day.
